Maluku Prosecutor's Office Investigate Alleged Travel Cases Of Fictitious Service Of The Buru Regional Secretary
The Maluku Attorney General's Office is investigating the alleged criminal act of corruption in the 2020-2022 fictitious official travel budget or SPPD within the scope of the Regional Secretary of Buru Regency.
Kasi Penkum and Public Relations of the Maluku Attorney General's Office, Wahyudi Kareba, emphasized that the handling of cases of alleged corruption in the official travel budget or fictitious 2020-2022 SPPD is still under investigation.
"The handling of the case is still ongoing and about ten people have been summoned to be examined by the Public Prosecutor's Office as witnesses," Wahyudi said in Ambon, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, October 19.
According to him, this case has been upgraded from investigation to investigation since March 2023.
The investigative team is also still finalizing a number of documents related to the matter and collecting information from witnesses for the deepening and development of cases.
"When it comes to the alleged state financial loss in this case, the Buru Kejari investigators will coordinate with the District Inspectorate as APIP," said Wahyudi.
Investigators have also scheduled the summons of former Buru Regent Ramli Umasugi to be questioned as a witness in this case.

Meanwhile, the witnesses who had complied with the summons of the investigating prosecutors from each section were ASN within the Buru Regional Secretariat to provide information.
"The various questions raised are about their respective duties and functions in the Regional Secretariat, including their role in budget management," he said.
