Customs And Excise Thwarts The Smuggling Of 86 Kilograms Of Shabu In Aceh
The joint team from the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise in Aceh together with law enforcement officials thwarted the smuggling of 86 kilograms of methamphetamine.
Head of the Customs and Excise Facilities Division of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise of Aceh Province, Leni Rahmasari, said officers also thwarted the smuggling of two long-barreled firearms along with their magazines and ammunition.
"The smuggling of drugs and thwarted firearms was carried out in the waters of Aceh Province. In addition to securing tens of kilograms of crystal methamphetamine and firearms, officers also arrested six suspected perpetrators," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, October 19.
The six alleged perpetrators had the initials MF, MID, MSJ, I, IH, and FM. The prosecution operation involved personnel from the Narcotics Interdict Directorate of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC).
Then, the Sea Patrol Sub-Directorate of the DJBC Directorate, the Sea Patrol Sub-Directorate BC20005, BC15030, and BC15036, the Customs Officer Tanjung Balai Karimun, the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit and the Aceh Police.
The prosecution was carried out twice, namely Saturday (7/10) and Tuesday (10/10). The two prosecutions for drug smuggling and firearms were based on public information.
The first action was that the marine patrol task force team carried out patrols following up on reports from the public that there was a target ship bound for Peureulak waters, East Aceh Regency.
"The patrol task force team found the target ship after being chased. On the ship, 16 packages were found weighing one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine each along with two long-barreled firearms. On the ship, six suspected perpetrators with the initials MF, MID, and MSJ were also arrested," he said.

Meanwhile, the second action was carried out in the waters of Kuala Camgkoi, North Aceh Regency. The prosecution began with public information that said there were ships from abroad smuggling drugs.
Then, the outside patrol task force team carried out patrols and chased the target ship. The final team stopped the ship and secured 70 packages each weighing one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine. The team also arrested three suspected perpetrators, namely the initials I, IH, FM.
