UN DK Holds Emergency Meeting To Discuss Attacks At Gaza Hospital
JAKARTA - The UN Security Council on Wednesday will hold an emergency meeting to discuss Israel's attacks on Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza.
According to a statement from a UN spokesman, reported by ANTARA, the meeting is scheduled to take place at 10.00 local time (21.00 WIB), Wednesday, October 18 and will be held in an open debate format.
A draft resolution from Brazil calling for a "humanitarian trade" in Gaza will be decided during the meeting.
Earlier, Russia and the United Arab Emirates jointly called for a Security Council emergency hearing.
More than 500 people were killed in Israeli airstrikes against Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital on Tuesday, Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra told Anadolu.
