NasDem Responds To The KPK Regarding Alleged Corruption Money SYL Flows To The Party
The NasDem Party responded to accusations by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) which suspected that the money from the corruption of former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL had flowed to the party.
Deputy Chairperson of the NasDem Party, Ahmad Ali, assessed that it was the KPK's obligation to conduct an investigation into institutions or people suspected of receiving the flow of money from the proceeds of corruption.
So according to Ali, the case that ensnared the NasDem cadre could become clear and get legal certainty.
"If the KPK institution has announced it openly, this is tantamount to influencing public opinion, it is affecting public opinion, where this year we are entering politics," Ali said when contacted, Saturday, October 14.
The member of Commission III of the DPR hopes that the KPK will not make a fuss. Ali also appealed to the anti-corruption agency not to convey things that are not certain about the truth.
"As far as I know, from some information, Mr. SYL has helped with work. So, when there is social work, Syahrul contributes several packages, several hundred or 1,000 food packages distributed in the Thousand Islands. Now, does this come from corruption money? Does this come from CSR companies from his partners? We don't know," Ali explained. "But Mr. Syahrul as a cadre of the NasDem Party is certain when there is a party social activity, he is asked to participate, work, work together is a natural thing," he continued.
If it is said that there is money flowing to the NasDem Party, Ali emphasized that this information is not true. However, if there is assistance conveyed by Syahrul in his capacity not as a minister but as a cadre, it does exist. "What I remember is that during the pandemic season, then there was social work and Pak Syahrul then contributed to the basic food packages," said Ali. Of course, in the assistance, the NasDem Party never knew where the source money came from," he said.
"So in order to avoid a commotion, whatever happens, there will be various responses, and this is a political year. If NasDem thinks something is normal, but the public cannot prohibit thinking like that, right," said Ali. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that the NasDem Party will participate in the splash of money from corruption from former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL
This statement was conveyed by KPK Deputy Chairman Alexander Marwata at the press conference for SYL's detention. The NasDem Party politician officially became an orange dream after becoming a suspect in alleged extortion and acceptance of gratuities.

"We also found a flow of money use as ordered by SYL aimed at the interests of the Nasdem party with a value of billions of rupiah," Alexander said at the KPK's Red and White House, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, October 13.
Alexander said the number flowing to the party created by Surya Paloh was still being calculated. "KPK will continue to explore," he said.
Apart from flowing to the NasDem party, Syahrul is suspected of using the money he extorted from his employees for various personal interests.
Among them are to pay credit card installments, installments for the purchase of Toyota Alphard cars, personal home repairs, plane tickets for families, to facial treatment and care for families whose value reaches billions of rupiah.
