Natuna Bawaslu Reminds Political Parties Not To Install APS In Places Of Worship
KEPRI - Bawaslu, Natuna Regency, Riau Islands (Kepri) appealed to political parties participating in the 2024 General Election not to install socialization props (APS) in places of worship.
Head of the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) Natuna Siswandi said, in addition to the appeal not to install APS in houses of worship, his party also reminded political parties participating in the election not to install APS in several other public places.
These places include hospitals or health care facilities, educational places, including buildings and courtyards, schools and universities, government-owned buildings, certain government-owned facilities, other facilities that can disrupt public order and facilities belonging to the TNI/Polri and BUMN/BUMD.
"We urge you not to install flags, banners, billboards and or public in the area mentioned," he said when contacted, Friday, October 13, confiscated by Antara.
In addition, he said, his party also reminded political parties participating in the election to pay attention to the provisions of the substance contained in the APS installed.
He explained that the APS installed should not contain invitations or elements of the election campaign either in the form of writing, words or pictures.
"This provision has been regulated in Law No. 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections and KPU Regulation Number 15 of 2023," said Siswandi.
He hopes that the political parties participating in the election will heed the appeal, because if the Natuna Regency Bawaslu and the ranks will control the props.
"We have sent an appeal letter for controlling the Socialization Performance Equipment (APS) Number 416/PM.00.02/K.KR-04/10/2023 to the participants.
In addition, his party also reminded political parties and prospective election participants not to install APS in places that have the potential to endanger society and damage nature.
"This is stated in Regional Regulation number 15 of 2019 concerning public order in Natuna Regency," said Siswandi reminded.
Regarding the installation of APS, he continued, Bawaslu will cooperate with the government in controlling it.
"We are synergizing in this matter," said Siswandi.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the General Election Commission (Pemilu) of Natuna Regency, Kusnaidi, said that currently the election stage is entering the administrative verification stage of the requirements for candidates while the results of the draft disbursement of candidates remain.
"Now from October 4-18, the administrative verification period for the temporary candidate requirements is the result of the dcT draft," he said.
Then he said on October 19-23, his party will recapitulate the results of administrative verification for the replacement of candidates during the funeral period for the permanent candidate list (DCT).
"October 24 to November 2, the preparation of DCT, November 3, the determination of DCT, November 4, the DCT announcement," said Kusnaidi.
