JAKARTA - Central Jakarta Satpol PP responded to the presence of street vendors (PKL) who were discussing the bus stop for public transportation in the Tanah Abang Market area.

Head of Central Jakarta Satpol PP, Tumbur Parluhutan Purba, said that his party had followed up on reports of street vendors at Tanah Abang Market.

"We have followed up and will continue to monitor the location in question," said Tumbur when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, October 12, afternoon.

Meanwhile, the follow-up in question was in the form of dispelling street vendors by Tanah Abang Satpol PP officers. The effort was carried out after news emerged in the media regarding the occupancy of the bus stop into a clothing store.

"The action is in the form of dispelling and building in the area. The prohibition has been carried out every day. But when the officers left, they came back again," he said.

Previously, street vendors (PKL) in the Tanah Abang Market area were increasingly not well organized. Although Central Jakarta City Satpol PP routinely conducts patrols, the presence of street vendors arbitrarily participates in public facilities such as bus stops for clothing selling places.

From the results of VOI's search, one of the bus stops where the public transport passengers in the Tanah Abang Market area were used as a stall for selling by street vendors. The bus stop, which is actually a place to stop public transportation in the Tanah Abang Market area, has now changed its function.

"What about the supervision of Satpol PP, how come there is a bus stop in the Tanah Abang Market area which has changed its function to a place to sell?," asked Tasya (39), one of the visitors who passed the Tanah Abang Market area, Thursday, October 12.
