Police Handle Cases Of Alleged Suicide Of Students From Central Kalimantan At The Semarang Boarding House
SEMARANG - Police are handling a case of alleged suicide of a student with the initials EB (24) who was found dead in her boarding house in the Tembalang area, Semarang City, Central Java.
"The victim was found dead in his boarding house on Wednesday (11/10) night," said Tembalang Police Chief Kompol Wahdah Maulidiawati in Semarang as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, October 12.
The police chief confirmed that the Udinus Semarang student was suspected of having committed suicide.
"There were no signs of violence on the victim's body," he added.
However, Wahdah did not explain in detail the cause of death because the family had let go and was not willing to do an autopsy.
The victim was first found dead by his friend and lover. The victim's friend, who was suspicious of the victim's whereabouts, then asked the owner of the boarding house to open the bedroom door with a spare key.

The victim's body was then evacuated to the morgue of Dr. Kariadi Hospital Semarang before finally being returned to his place of origin in Central Kalimantan.
Separately, the Head of Public Relations of Udinus Semarang Nining Sekar said that the university's academic community expressed its condolences for the death of EB.
According to him, EB is a final semester student who is currently working on a thesis.
"The campus has communicated with EB's parents after releasing the body's departure to its place of origin," he said.
