Government Protects Printing Industry During Elections With TKDN
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry protects the printing industry in meeting the needs of ballots for the 2024 General Election with Domestic Component Level (TKDN) certification.
"There are many efforts made by foreigners to actively participate in the provision of printed goods related to elections," said Director of Forest Products and Plantation Industry, Director General Agro of the Ministry of Industry, Merriyanti Punguan, quoted from ANTARA, Wednesday, October 11.
"We, the Ministry of Industry, maintain, become a border (limitor)," Merri continued.
Merri added that the protection was realized in the form of TKDN certification.
He targets that as many as 65 printing companies will be certified TKDN, so that the procurement of ballots for the 2024 General Election must be filled by domestic products.
"Alhamdulillah, in a short time, we are trying to certify 65 TKDN companies," he said.
He asked the printing industry players to prepare themselves to welcome the 2024 General Election. The election, said Merri, was a people's party.
"It is better for us to enjoy the crowds and boisterousness of this election," said Merri.
In line with Merri, Chairman of the Indonesian Graphics Company Association (PPGI) Ahmad Mughira Nurhani expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Industry for seeking TKDN certification for 65 printing companies.
"We have been assisted by the Ministry of Industry to get TKDN for 65 printing companies that will fight to print ballots," said Ahmad Mughira.
