Poltracking Survey: Top PDIP In East Java Attached To Strict PKB
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Poltracking survey institute released the results of the electability survey of political parties (political parties) in East Java. As a result, PDIP ranks first with 21.5 percent, closely affixed by PKB in second place with 20.6 percent.
"In the Poltracking survey in East Java, PDIP is at the top. However, PKB is closely attached to it. PDIP and PKB are very competitive in winning East Java," said Director of Research at Poltracking Indonesia, Arya Budi in his presentation, Wednesday, October 11.
Arya assessed that PDIP and PKB will fight hard for the first place in East Java. Moreover, both of them have a strong traditional voter base in East Java.
"The difference between the two is still within the margin of error limit. So statistically it cannot be seen who the winner will be in East Java," he added.
In the Poltracking survey in East Java, Gerindra was in third place with 15.3 percent. Then the fourth was NasDem 6.9 percent, and Golkar completed the top five at 6.8 percent.
While the sixth is PAN with 6.0 percent, the seventh Democrat 5.3 percent. Meanwhile, PPP only got 3.9 percent and PKS 1.5 percent, and other political parties under 1 percent.

Poltracking Indonesia conducted a survey on September 25-1 October 2023 in East Java using a stratified multistage random sampling method. The number of samples in this survey is 1,000 respondents with a margin of error +/- 3.1 percent, at a 95 percent confidence level.
For information, East Java is the second most populous and determining province on a DPT basis. More than 31 million voters or about 15.5 percent of voters are in East Java. There are other factors that make East Java attractive, culturally East Java based on Nahdlatul Ulama, one of the factors that are always taken into account in the presidential election contestation.
On the other hand, East Java is considered a 'no man' province, so East Java has the potential to determine the victory of the presidential election. Political calculations related to the potential victory and representation of votes from East Java, will be one of the important considerations in the 2024 presidential election.
