Defeating 12 Finalists From 7 Countries, Honda Indonesia Motorcycle Technicians Become The Best In The World
JAKARTA - Good news came from a Honda motorcycle technician from Indonesia who succeeded in making the nation proud at the international level with his brilliant achievements.
The technician's name is Masngudin, from Magelang, Central Java. He won a gold medal and won the world title at the Honda Global Technician Contest Motorcycle (GTC) 2023, the regular motorcycle category (commuter), which took place at Honda Technical College Kanto, Tokyo, Japan, on October 7-8, 2023.
"Previously, I never imagined that I could win a world title. This achievement would be a motivation for me to continue to develop and provide the best for consumers. In my opinion, services to consumers are not only valid in contests, even the most critical is services to consumers in everyday life. We must be consistent in providing the best in serving them," said Masngudin in an official statement received by VOI, Tuesday, October 10.
Masngudin was sent by PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) and represented technicians from the PT Daya Adicipta Motora dealer. He managed to beat 12 finalists from 7 other countries in the regular motorcycle category. This brilliant achievement also places him as one of the best among 89,000 Honda motorcycle technicians worldwide.
With experience as the second winner in the 2023 Honda Asia & Oceania Motorcycle Technician Skill Contest (AOC) in Bangkok, Thailand, in June this year, as well as the experience of being a Honda motorcycle technician for nearly 10 years, Masngudin was able to quickly, precisely, and accurately complete various testing stages, including theoretical and practical tests.
This achievement further strengthens Indonesia as a country that consistently achieves high achievements in Honda's best technical competition. Previously, this competition had gone to the level of Asia and Oceania, and technicians from Indonesia were always able to show their best abilities and often became champions.
VH Kunsala Krishna, General Manager of the Technical Service Division AHM, expressed her pride for this achievement. He hopes that the experience and skills gained by technicians in this competition will improve full-sale services for Honda motorcycle enthusiasts.
"The technicians are at the forefront of serving consumers when they carry out treatment on motorbikes. We hope that the best achievements in this prestigious world-class event will also motivate other Honda motorcycle technicians to provide the best seller service to consumers," Krishna said.
