The Minister Of Home Affairs Proposes The Extension Of The Acting Regent Of West Aceh To The President
WEST ACEH - Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian officially proposed extending the term of office of West Aceh Regent Mahdi Efendi to President Joko Widodo, for the next year.
"I immediately proposed to the President that Brother Mahdi extend his tenure as Acting Regent of West Aceh," said Tito Karnavian, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 9.
Tito Karnavian openly said that West Aceh Regency, precisely Meulaboh City, is the best area in Indonesia in controlling inflation.
However, he also gave a strong warning to regions that were considered to have failed to control inflation and other national strategic programs.
The former National Police Chief then mentioned that for regions that failed to control the inflation rate, the term of duty of the Acting regional head was no longer extended.
"For West Aceh, even Drs Mahdi is not proposed by the DPRD, but we are the ones who directly propose to the President," said Tito Karnavian.
Acting West Aceh Regent Mahdi Efendi said he was touched and grateful for the award presented by the Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian in a zoom meeting of the National Inflation Control Coordination Meeting on Monday, October 9.
