GameHers Summit Committed To Creating Safe Space For Women's Gamers
JAKARTA - UniPin as the leading digital entertainment service provider company in Indonesia continues to be committed to supporting every movement and campaign for gender equality, especially in the field of esports.
On Saturday, October 7 yesterday, UniPin again collaborated with Samsung Odyssey and Circle Luna Nera in holding an event titled GameHers Summit at the PBESI Office, Gandaria, South Jakarta.
At this event, UniPin, Samsung Odyssey, and Luna Nera again invited women who are active in the esports industry for sharing and connecting sessions, celebrating their presence as women in esports.
Present at this event were a series of talk shows held entitled Secret Recipe for Women to Thrive Above Prejudices and Information Beyond Beauty and Preservation in a Male-dominated Industry discussing the diversity of women in the industry ranging from the discrimination they experienced, the way they survived, to the tips to continue to move forward against discrimination.
Next, there is also a sharing session from professional players. In the session entitled 'Discrimination & Harassment of Women's Esports Competitive Skena' and 'The Importance of Personal Branding in the Gaming Industry.'
Debora Imanuella, co-founder of Luna Nera and SVP UniPin Global Esports & Community, explained that she fully supports women's emancipation activities in the field of esports, one of which is through GameHers.

"This is a manifestation of our commitment to continue to mobilize women, to unite against discrimination and voice the spirit of equality," Debora said in a statement, quoted Monday, October 9.
Through GameHers, Debora said she wanted to create a safe space for women, reminding them that they have fellow women who are enthusiastic about gaming to complain and tell stories.
"The challenges faced together are expected to slowly disappear so that there are no more restrictions for female gamers in their work, achievements, and of course playing games," he concluded.
