Arrest 3 Dealers, Meranti Riau Police Secure 4 Kg Of Crystal Methamphetamine From Malaysia
RIAU - Meranti Islands Police in Riau Province revealed 4 kilograms (kg) of methamphetamine trafficking cases by arresting three suspected dealers.
The head of the Meranti Islands Police, AKBP Andi Yul LTG, revealed that the three dealers were MF (20), Bd (35) and Zk (20). They are local residents of the Meranti Islands who have a role in distributing methamphetamine originating from Malaysia.
"The two suspects were arrested in a house located on Jalan Suak Baru, Gang Pramuka, Banglas Village, Tebingtinggi District. There was also found a package of methamphetamine weighing one kilogram packaged in Chinese tea packages and stored in the house," Andi said at a press conference in South Panjang, Raiau, Friday 6 October, confiscated by Antara.
Andi said that the disclosure of this case was based on the results of a 21-day police investigation which resulted in the arrest of suspects Fazri and Budi on Thursday, September 28 at around 15.00 WIB.
Then the development effort was carried out on the same day. The Narcotics Unit team had asked for help from the Criminal Investigation Unit Opsnal Team to develop and map the perpetrator's network.
"In the evening at around 23.00 WIB, precisely in Banglas Village, 3 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine was found hidden in a bush located on Jalan Pemuda Setia, Banglas Village by the suspect," said Andi.

The development continued, on Friday, September 29 morning at Tanjung Harapan Port, the team again secured a man with the initials Zk who was about to leave town. He is also a dealer in this network.
The police also managed to confiscate Rp156 million along with a withdrawal slip at a bank on Merdeka Selatpanjang Street.
"Everything has something to do with the investigation and investigation process that we carried out. The total amount of crystal methamphetamine that was secured was 4 kilograms and the money that had been confiscated was Rp164 million," said Andi Yul.
The police chief also revealed that the suspects were a syndicate of international narcotics networks from Malaysia that carried out smuggling through the Malacca Strait. The suspect's confession has only twice circulated methamphetamine supplied from Malaysia.
"We have developed this international narcotics network syndicate and have also been reported to the Riau Police. Where the Meranti Islands are easy targets for the entrance to this illicit goods," he concluded.
