Jokowi Reminds The Importance Of Protecting National Digital Assets
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo reminded the importance of protecting the digital data assets owned by the nation so that other parties do not take advantage of it.
"Take good care of our digital assets. Take good care of all data, information, market access," said the President in his direction to Participants of the XXIV Short Education Program (PPSA) and the LXV Regular Education Program Alumni (PPRA) 2023 Lemhannas at the State Palace, Jakarta, reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 4.
The President said digital data could be used by other parties for political matters.
Jokowi admitted that he received information from digital experts about digital data that certain parties could use to determine the president in 2029.
"It can be related to politics later. Some say that our digital experts are whispering'sir, be careful, if we don't protect our digital data, we can later determine in 2029 that the president is them (digital data holders)'," said Jokowi.

The President said the data and information on market access were gold and filled the digital world because it is now an era of artificial intelligence, big data analytic and machine learning.
"In fact, if it has entered politics, it can direct only data and information," he said.
Nevertheless, Jokowi said digitalization and technological developments could not be stopped. What needs to be done is adapt to this situation and protect the nation's digital data assets.
