Global Suzuki Car Sales Touch 80 Million Units, This Model Is The Best Selling
JAKARTA - Suzuki Motor Corporation has achieved global sales of 80 million units of four-wheeled vehicles by the end of August 2023. In more detail, Suzuki has managed to sell 28.9 million cars in Japan and another 51.27 million units abroad.
From a geographic point of view, sales in Japan account for 36% of total global sales, while India accounts for 32.6%, Europe 10%, Asia 13.5%, and other regions 7.8%, including North America, Central and South America, Oceania, the Middle East, Africa, and other countries.
In more detail, Suzuki Alto is the best-selling model, contributing 20% of total sales of the Suzuki Global which reached 80 million units by the end of last month. Suzuki Alto, a light four-wheeled Japanese vehicle, has spread not only in Japan but also around the world, with significant sales contribution mainly in India.
In second place on the sales list there is Series Wagon R, followed by Swift, Carry, Vitara, and Jimny.
Suzuki's President, Toshihiro, in an official statement received by VOI, Wednesday, October 4, said that Suzuki will continue to produce cars by taking into account consumer needs around the world and providing products with high value. He also thanked customers who had chosen Suzuki products.
"We will also continue to provide products and services that support customers' daily transportation, environmentally friendly vehicles, and become reliable friends every day," he added.
