Man Fraud Mode Of Work Recruitment In Bekasi Arrested, Victim Reaches 154 People
The Bekasi Metropolitan Police have arrested a man with the initials FS, the perpetrator of the fraud case for the recruitment mode of work at a number of well-known companies in Bekasi City.
Bekasi Metro Police Chief Commissioner Tweddy Aditya Bennyahdi said 154 people were victims of FS by handing over some money because they were tempted by the perpetrator's offer.
"The modus operandi is that the perpetrator disguised himself and claimed to be the manager of a worker recruitment company in Bekasi Regency," he said at the Bekasi Metro Police Headquarters, Tuesday, October 3, which was confiscated by Antara.
He said the construction of this case began with the recruitment of the first two victims as the secretary of the perpetrators. They are given the task of finding and recruiting prospective workers to be distributed to a number of well-known companies.
"After obtaining a prospective workforce, IDR 500 thousand was asked for money for various reasons, starting from opening an account, checking health, and other reasons," he said.
The money received by prospective workers was actually misused by the perpetrators for personal purposes while the promise of placing work in well-known companies had not been realized.

Officers managed to secure a number of evidences from this fraud case, starting from printed bank statements, identity cards, to cell phones.
"For this incident, the perpetrator is suspected of violating Article 378 of the Criminal Code with a maximum imprisonment of 4 years," he said.
Tweddy also appealed to the public, especially those in the jurisdiction of the Bekasi Metro Police, to always be aware of fraudulent practices with the mode of recruitment of work.
"If necessary, come directly to the company to find out whether it is true that they are opening job vacancies or not," he said.
