PDIP Secretary General Reveals Megawati Often Meets Khofifah
JAKARTA - PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto revealed that PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri had met with East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa several times.
"Mother Mega's meeting with Mrs. Khofifah was indeed held repeatedly," said Hasto in Jakarta, Tuesday, October 3, quoted by Antara.
He said, one of Megawati and Khofifah's meetings was during the meeting of village heads throughout Indonesia.
Not only that, Megawati also met Khofifah while visiting a mangrove garden in Surabaya, East Java, in July 2023.
"There was a meeting at the meeting of village heads throughout Indonesia, there was also a meeting when reviewing mangroves because Mrs. Mega is an environmental lover; thus placing the presidential and legislative elections as a commitment to building life for the future through such care activities," he said.

According to Hasto, the meeting between Megawati and Khofifah discussed environmental issues more often. Hasto was reluctant to comment further when asked about whether there was a discussion about the future vice presidential candidate for Ganjar Pranowo in these meetings.
"Yes, the meeting discussed mangroves, discussing future governance; because people only focus on figures. Very fundamental things related to narrative and vision, we should explore the strategic agenda mission of these leaders," said Hasto.
Previously, Friday, September 29, Hasto revealed that the vice presidential candidate for Ganjar in the 2024 presidential election had narrowed and was just waiting for the time to be announced.
Ganjar also once revealed that Khofifah Indar Parawansa has the opportunity to be elected as his companion for the 2024 presidential election.
