Deputy Chairman Of Commission VI Of The DPR Asks For Rempang Conflict Resolution Involving Community Leaders
Deputy Chairman of Commission VI DPR RI Sarmuji asked the government to socialize, collect data and register the affected communities in the Rempang conflict in the Riau Islands to be carried out humanely.
"By involving community leaders and local government officials," he said, quoted from ANTARA, Monday, October 2.
In addition, Commission VI also asked BP Batam to implement implementation which invites foreign investors to Indonesia to use the principle of equal treatment or equal treatment.
Rempang Eco City is included in the list of National Strategic Projects (PSN) for industrial needs, tourism, and others as regulated in the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Regulation Number 7 of 2023 which was ratified on August 28, 2023. The development of Rempang Eco City is expected to be able to encourage increased Indonesia's competitiveness from Singapore and Malaysia.
There are at least 10 projects that will be worked on as agreed in the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on July 28, 2023, between the Ministry of Investment/BKPM and Xinyi International Investments Limited, companies that will invest in Rempang, Riau Islands.
