JAKARTA - The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, spoke about the opportunity for the Mayor of Solo (Walkot) Gibran Rakabuming Raka to become the vice presidential candidate for Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election. Dasco emphasized that regarding Prabowo's vice president, Gerindra fully handed over to the general chairmen of political parties who are members of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM). "Everything is possible for us to count. Then later, it will also remain the general chairmen of coalition parties," said Dasco at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, October 2. The deputy chairman of the DPR was also reluctant to speculate on the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) regarding the lawsuit on the minimum or maximum limit of presidential and vice presidential candidates which is still being tested for material. Including if the Constitutional Court later grants the minimum age lawsuit for presidential and vice presidential candidates of 35 years, so that the eldest son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) can compete in the 2024 presidential election.
"I don't know what the Constitutional Court's decision is," said Dasco.
