Important Consideration Of Nadin Amizah Before Agreeing To Sing The OST Of A Kretek Girl

JAKARTA - Nadin Amizah was lined up to sing the original soundtrack (OST) of the Kretek Girl series. The 23-year-old singer performed the song Kala Sang Surya Drown which was popularized by Chrisye.

Singing OST is not an easy matter for Nadin Amizah. The reason is, he has to adapt the character of the song to what is shown in the series.

"As a soundtrack actor, I was accompanied by other works. That was a consideration when I sang," said Nadin Amizah in Kemang, South Jakarta last week.

"It was a very challenge, because this seems like the first time I sang on the soundtrack," he continued.

Nadin admitted that he had consulted a lot with director Kamila Andini to sing when the Surya drowned.

One thing that was agreed upon by both of them was that the song was performed not much different from the original version.

"What is emphasized is that we don't want to change this song too far from its origin, so I also asked Mbak Kamila," said Nadin.

Furthermore, Nadin himself felt that Guruh Soekarnoputra's song, which was released in 1978, was a very good song.

"He (Kamila Andini) wants me to sing it natural as I used to sing. The song itself is already beautiful from there, we don't want to change anything," said Nadin Amizah.
