Free Jakarta Bandung Fast Train Trial Extended until Mid-October 2023
JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said the government has decided to continue free trials of the Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train (KCJB) for the public until mid-October 2023.
"We agreed to have a free trial for KCJB until mid-October," he said at the inauguration of the Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train at Halim Station, Monday, October 2.
Luhut explained that the decision to take the free trial was considered because there were still many people who wanted to take part in the free trial.
Furthermore, Luhut said, this trial period was extended so that people could immediately experience the first high-speed train in Indonesia.
"The public is invited to directly experience the benefits of the Jakarta Bandung Fast Train for themselves. "Of course, everything runs safely and comfortably thanks to the proven reliability of the system," he said.
As previously reported, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has just inaugurated the Jakarta Bandung Fast Train (KCJB) Whoosh. This first mode of transportation in Indonesia is ready to serve people heading to Bandung City.
"Bismillahiromanirohim, I declare that the Jakarta Bandung Whoosh Fast Train is operational," said Jokowi at the inauguration, at Halim Station, Jakarta, Monday, October 2.
