Vice President Asks MES To Consistently Develop Sharia Economic Ecosystem
JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin asked the Islamic Economic Community (MES) organization to continue to consistently develop the Islamic economic and financial ecosystem.
This was conveyed by the Vice President when receiving the ranks of MES administrators at the Vice President's Palace, Jakarta, Friday, September 29, as conveyed by the spokesman for the Vice President Masduki Baidlowi.
"So that this organization continues to grow productively, especially to grow paraentrepreneurs, so that it grows a kind of ecosystem, Muslim communities that are engaged in trade," said Masduki conveying the Vice President's message reported by ANTARA.
According to Masduki, the Vice President assessed that the ecosystem was needed because it was related to Indonesia's ideals to uphold the pillars of the largest halal industry in the world.
"MES is one of the pillars to achieve that goal. That's what the Vice President ordered," he added.

During the meeting were attended by MES management including MES Board of Trustees Muliaman Hadad, IV MES Chair Friderica Widyasari, MES Secretary General Iggi Haruman Achsien, and MES General Treasurer Herry Gunardi.
Masduki said the meeting which lasted for 60 minutes discussed MES plans in the future, as well as preparations for the implementation of the VI MES National Conference (Munas) which will be held on Sunday (1/10).
"This MES on Sunday will carry out the National Conference, which in its main activity is the change of leadership from the old management, then a new management will be formed," said Masduki.
