Jeep To Release Wagoneer S SUV In 2024, Ready To Disrupt BMW IX Domination In Premium EV SUV Class
JAKARTA - Jeep recently announced its plans to release an electric-based premium SUV called Wagoneer S. This vehicle will be one of Jeep's offerings in a rapidly growing electric vehicle trend.
The launch of the Wagoneer S is scheduled to take place in the United States in 2024, and after that, the SUV will be available on a limited basis on the European market, reported by Autocar, Monday, September 25.
Wagoneer S will be a strong competitor in the electric-powered premium SUV segment, competing with EV's BMW iX and Range Rover Sport models scheduled to launch in 2025. The design combines modern elements suitable for urban use with off-road capabilities that characterize Jeep.
The SUV features a design similar to Cherokee's successor, with a slimmer headlights and elongated grip. Wagoneer S is expected to have a range of about 600 kilometers with a full battery, making it one of the flagship models among the seven new Jeep cars to be available in the UK, including the already launched Fighter and the upcoming Recon model by 2025.
Wagoneer S will be one of the Jeep steps towards electric mobility, and this is the fourth EV model they will offer. The company has committed to only selling electric vehicles in Europe by 2030. The car will use the latest STLA Large platform developed by Stellantis, the parent company Jeep, and will be equipped with the latest technology.

Together with Recon, Wrangler, and other upcoming models, Jeep plans to expand its presence in the European market and strengthen its position in the electric vehicle segment until the end of the decade.
With the launch of these new models, it is hoped that Jeep sales in Europe will further increase and strengthen the presence of this brand on the Blue Continent.
