UN Chairman Yusril Optimistic Prabowo Can Solve Problems In Papua
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Crescent Star Party (PBB) Yusril Ihza Mahendra admitted that he is optimistic that Prabowo Subianto's presidential candidate can solve the problem in Papua at this time.
"The PBB contributes ideas to Pak Prabowo to fix the Indonesian political system, government system, and legal system," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, September 23.
This was conveyed by Yusril in his political speech at the Consolidation of Zone 4 of the UN Legislative Election and the Victory of Presidential Candidate Prabowo Subianto in Jayapura, Papua, Saturday (23/9).
According to Yusril, Prabowo has a lot of experience in the field of military, defense and security to the economic sector. He believes Prabowo will pay special attention to Bumi Cenderawasih and solve the problems that exist in Papua.
Both concerns exploitation of natural resources, equitable development, educational opportunities, economy and others to overcome inequality in the Land of Papua.
"So that no one else feels dissatisfied because of the circumstances, but together we are grateful for the blessings, grateful for what we have together and continue to unite in the NKRI forum. And I am sure Prabowo is able to carry out these tasks," he asserted.
In front of thousands of UN cadres throughout Papua, Yusril asked for support from the Indonesian people, especially the Papuan people, to win the United Nations and presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto.
Currently Prabowo Subianto has the support of the Gerindra, Golkar, PAN, PBB, Democrats, Gelora and Garuda parties, in the Indonesia Maju coalition.
"I ask for support from those present and convey to those who are not present at this consolidation event that the United Nations continues to exist, struggling to achieve the greatest support of the Indonesian people in the 2024 General Election," he ordered.

Meanwhile, UN Secretary General Afriansyah Noor reminded that the United Nations is an Islamic Indonesian party, a Moderate Islamic party. A pride for the people of Papua, because Mars and the new UN Hymn are sung first and launched in Papua.
Currently, said Afriansyah, the United Nations has 21 DPRD members throughout Papua. He also asked UN legislative members who have been given the mandate, work optimally, fight for the people and defend the people through the legislature.
