Forests On The Slope Of Mount Merbabu Boyolali Burnt
The forest fire occurred around the slopes of Mount Merbabu or the Ngalong Village area, Gladagsari District, Boyolali Regency, Central Java.
According to Ripno, the head of the Merbabu volunteer Rempala Team in Wonolelo Hamlet, Ngalong Gladagsari Boyolali Village, the fire incident on the slopes of Mount Merbabu occurred at around 15.00 WIB.
"Residents know about the fire on the slopes of Mount Merbabu at around 15.00 WIB. The location of the fire is now starting to spread, but it is not yet estimated how wide it is," said Ripno after checking closely on the fire, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, September 21.
According to him, the distance from the fire from the Rempala Basecamp was precisely in Wonolelo Hamlet, Ngalong Village, Gladagsari Boyolali District, quite far from about 3 to 4 kilometers to the location.
According to him, the fire area occurred in the buffer forest area belonging to the Mount Merbabu National Park (BTNGMb). His party continues to monitor forest fires on the slopes of Mount Merbabu in the Boyolali area.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Boyolali Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Suratno when contacted confirmed the fire incident on the slopes of Mount Merbabu, which is located above Ngarong Village, Gladagsari Boyolali District.
"We and our members have gone down to the location of the fire in the Gladagsari area," said Suratno.

According to him, the fire was in the Lelo Cave area near the Ngalong Village area, Gladagsari Boyolali District. His party and members have headed to the location to see firsthand the condition of the fire.
"The location of the fire was from the Post about 30 to 60 minutes on foot. The location of the fire is still under monitoring and handling joint officers," he said.
