DKI Provincial Government Orders Prostitution Places In Royal Penjaringan Alley
JAKARTA - The ranks of the DKI Jakarta Satpol PP have officially closed the location of prostitution in the Gang Royal area, Rawa Bebek Selatan, Penjaringan, North Jakarta. This closure was carried out by controlling the illegal buildings that were standing there.
Head of DKI Jakarta Satpol PP Arifin said, as many as 150 buildings that were used as prostitution localization were brought under control because they stood on the land of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero).
"Today there are approximately 3,000 meters whose land we have arranged. Because this place is also a place that is categorized as a high crime, there are activities related to matters that lead to immorality and so on," said Arifin in his statement, Wednesday, September 20.
Arifin emphasized that there was no relocation to residents who lived in the buildings that were put in order in Gang Royal. This is because this location is strongly indicated as a place for prostitution.
A number of Satpol PP officers will also guard so that there will be no more illegal buildings in the area.
"After the control is completed, we will continue to guard it, we will not allow any more illegal buildings," he said.
Arifin will coordinate with PT KAI as the land owner to restore the land according to its function.
"We will synergize with PT KAI. If it does function as a green open space, then we will return its function and we will plant trees," explained Arifin.
