Success With RZ 450e, Lexus Will Express The Latest Generation EV Concept Model At This Exhibition
JAKARTA - Lexus is a luxury brand that is also seriously committed to electric vehicles in the future. To strengthen planning, they will launch the next generation EV concept car in the near future.
The event that Lexus chose to introduce this concept car was the Japan Mobility Show which will take place from 26 October to 5 November. The concept is said to adopt a modular body structure, as well as the latest battery which is reportedly capable of offering a range of up to 800 km.
Launching InsideEVs, Wednesday, September 20, Lexus said the next-generation electric car will debut in 2026 with a drastically changing production method and the latest software platform.
However, the Japanese brand does not provide further details about its concept model, which is clear that the news comes just one day after Toyota, the parent company, showcased modular structures for electric vehicles as well as less than a week after the announcement of the latest lithium-ion battery-powered Toyota vehicle will arrive in 2026.
In addition, the price of the battery is claimed to be 20 percent cheaper than the existing package on Toyota bZ4X, the one platform with Lexus RZ which was launched some time ago.
It is estimated that the Lexus brand will adopt the same planning as its parent company using a solid-state battery that will arrive in 2027 with a distance of more than 1,000 km that can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 10 minutes.
Regarding the modular body structure, previously Toyota had displayed a three-part structure image consisting of electric motors, suspensions, and steering in the front module. This approach also uses the latest giga-casting elements developed by the company to minimize the process and increase productivity. Chances are, Lexus will also take this approach.

Just like its parent company, Lexus does not yet have many EV models. The company with the "L" logo only provides UX 300e and RZ 450e in the ranks of electric vehicles in the global market.
However, they also emphasized that along with the development of the times, the luxury car manufacturer will continue to develop technology in order to provide electrification products that are in accordance with consumer needs.
