Even though smoke points were not identified, Suharyanto still emphasized the efforts to be vigilant and prevent all parties.
During the previous three days, the West Kalimantan region was rained with light to moderate intensity. This condition is very helpful in extinguishing forest and land fires.
In August, hotspots were monitored for thousands, and ground and air task force officers struggled to extinguish hotspots and smoke in the area.
The day before the patrol, light rain also flushed Pontianak City and its surroundings. Although it did not last long, the rain kept the air quality of the city area in good condition.
