Regency Government Increases PAD, MSMEs Related To Swallows In Jayapura Will Be Taxed
PAPUA - Jayapura Regency Government (Pemkab) has prepared Regional Status (Perda) to regulate the swallow nest tax in the local area.
Head of the Jayapura Regency Regional Revenue Management Agency (Bappenda) Edi Susanto said, in accordance with Law (UU) Number 1 of 2022, swallow nest taxes already exist to be withdrawn by district/city governments, but so far it has not been enforced.
"So we hope that people who have swallow businesses in Jayapura Regency can already collect their taxes to increase Regional Original Revenue (PAD)," he said in Sentani, Papua, Wednesday, September 20, which was confiscated by Antara.
According to Edi, according to the amendments to the regulations in Law (UU) Number 1 of 2022, one of which is the amount of the type of retribution object simplified from 32 types to 18 types of services.
"The missing 14 (retribution objects), 12 really we have done and cannot be billed, but in accordance with government regulations as an elaboration of Law Number 1 of 2022 there are things that we can innovate," he said.
Edi explained that his party is likely to work with a third party so that the tools that are owned to collect retribution can be collaborated, so that this tool can contribute to income.
"We are required to innovate so that it is not closed at all, but income can be withdrawn from various types of retribution objects that have been regulated in the law," he said.

He added that of the 11 types of taxes, there are currently seven, and four of the seven types of taxes are due to the merger, the application must be maximized.
"Of the four types of taxes that we have not been able to collect, the swallows are because the Jayapura Regency Government has not prepared the regulation," he said.
Types of local taxes based on Law Number 1 of 2022 concerning financial relations between the central government and local governments (HKPD) where taxes collected by the Provincial Government include motor vehicle tax (PKB), motor vehicle transfer duties (BBNKB), heavy equipment tax, (PAB), motor vehicle fuel tax (PBBKB), surface water tax (PAP), cigarette tax taxes and non-metal and rock tax operations (MBLB).
Taxes raised by the Regency/City Government include land taxes and rural and urban buildings (PBB-P2), land and building rights acquisition duties (BPHTB), certain goods and services taxes (PBJT), billboard taxes, groundwater tax (PAT), non-metal and rock mineral taxes (MBLB), swallow nest taxes, motor vehicle tax operations (PKB) and motor vehicle name transfer duty (BBNKB).
