Gowa Prosecutor's Office Searches Sheikh Yusuf Hospital Regarding The JKN Fund Corruption Case
The Head of the Gowa District Attorney's Office (Kajari) Yeni Andriani directly led the search of the Syekh Yusuf Regional General Hospital (RSUD) with his team as part of the investigation into the alleged corruption case related to the National Health Insurance (JKN) funds and the use of the state budget from 2018 to June 2023.
"All documents and items such as computers and laptops related to JKN that were searched were confiscated by investigators to be used as evidence in handling corruption crimes," Yeni said after conducting a search at the local hospital, Gowa, South Sulawesi, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 19.
The search lasted for three hours. Investigators secured a number of documents related to the disbursement of JKN services funds from 2018-2023. Documents for the use of JKN service funds since 2018-2023.
Furthermore, the 2018-2023 Budget Implementation List (DPA) document, two Computer CPU units, one laptop unit, six account books, and four notebooks.
The evidence will be examined for further confiscation as evidence of letters and evidence that will be used to prove the alleged abuse of authority from the management of the Syekh Yusuf Hospital, which is indicated to cause state or regional financial losses from 2018 to July 2023.
"We will convey the progress of this case again. As soon as possible we will determine the suspect. We also cannot mention the total loss suffered in the case of the alleged JKN 2018-2023 corruption case, because we are still waiting for the BPK audit," he explained.
He reiterated that all witnesses and other parties should not hinder or thwart directly or indirectly investigations.
The Gowa Kejari investigating team did not hesitate to take firm action against the perpetrators in accordance with article 21 of Law number 31 of 1999 in conjunction with Law number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption.

Separately, the Director of the Sheikh Yusuf Gowa Hospital, Drg Rahmawati, confirmed that a number of documents were brought by the Gowa Kejari investigating team after the search.
Regarding the alleged corruption in the hospital, he will follow legal procedures.
"All the documents needed by the investigators have been confiscated by the Gowa Kejari. I am just following the procedure," said Rahmawati briefly answering reporters' questions and then rushing to her room.
Previously, the Gowa Kejari investigators had investigated a case of alleged corruption in the use of JKN services at the Sheikh Yusuf Gowa Hospital. Even in this case, his status was raised from investigation to investigation.
Kajari Gowa Yeni Andriani said as many as 40 witnesses had participated in the examination at the Gowa Kejari as a strengthening investigation. Several witnesses who have been examined are all in the management of the Sheikh Yusuf Hospital, including health workers.
