The Attorney General's Office Names The Director Of Bukaka, A MBZ Toll Corruption Suspect
JAKARTA - Investigators of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) of the Attorney General's Office have named Operational Director II of PT Bukaka Teknik Utama Tbk (BUKK) Sofia Balfas (SB) as a suspect in the alleged corruption of the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) II toll road construction work for the Cikunir to West Karawang or MBZ sections.
"After conducting an intensive examination, the investigative team based on two strong pieces of evidence, today has appointed SB as Director of Operations II of PT Bukaka Tekhnik Uttama," said the Director of Investigation at the AGO Kuntadi as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, September 19.
After being named a suspect and carried out a medical examination, investigators detained the suspect for 20 days at the Salemba Rutan at the Attorney General's Office.
"For the purposes of the investigation in question, we are detaining him," said Kuntadi.
The role of the suspect is suspected as Operational Director II of PT Bukaka Teknik Utama to participate in malicious conspiracy to regulate and change the specifications of certain items so that the goods that can meet the requirements in the project are the companies that result in the state being harmed.
"We suspect the person concerned has violated the provisions of Article 2 paragraph (1) and Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Corruption Act in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code," said Kuntadi.
Previously, on Wednesday (13/9), the AGO named three people as suspects, namely Yudhi Mahyudin (YM) as Chair of the JJC Auction Committee, Toni Budianto Sihige (FFB) as a bridge expert for PT LAPI Ganesatama Consulting, and Djoko Dwijono (DD) as the President Director of PT Jasamarga Jalan Layang Cikampek (JJC) for the 2016-2020 period.

In this case, the Attorney General's Office has also named one suspect in the alleged obstruction to the investigation into the Cikampek II Elevated Jakarta Toll Road project section of Cikunir to West Karawang on Tuesday (16/5).
The suspect with the initials IBN as a retired state-owned company PT Waskita Karya allegedly influenced witnesses not to provide actual information, directing witnesses not to submit the documents needed by investigators.
