KKP Targets Derivative Rules For Measuring Fish Fishing Policy To Be Completed In November 2023
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) is targeting derivative regulations from Government Regulation (PP) Number 11 of 2023 concerning the Measurable Fish Fishing Policy (PIT) in the form of a Ministerial Regulation (Permen) to be completed in November 2023.
This was revealed by the Acting Director General of Capture Fisheries of the KKP Agus Suherman when met after a discussion on Public Perspectives regarding the Transformation of Capture Fisheries and Application of e-PIT at the KKP Building, Jakarta, on Monday, September 18.
"The target is at least November (2023) has been completed," he said.
Agus said, there are two derivative rules that are being made by the KKP, namely the Ministerial Decree on Fish Quota and the Ministerial Decree on the port of the PIT base.
"(The derivative rules) are still all in process," he said.

Previously, the measurable fishing policy (PIT) was officially promulgated through Government Regulation (PP) Number 11 of 2023 which was issued on March 6, 2023.
This regulation consists of nine chapters and 28 articles that include general provisions, zones, base ports, administrative sanctions, and closing provisions.
Until now, the KKP is still preparing derivative rules after the issuance of PP Number 11 of 2023 concerning the PIT Policy. This derivative rule includes ministerial regulations and ministerial decisions as technical guidelines for implementing PIT, such as the mechanism for determining quotas.
