West Java Governor Bey Machmudin Highlights Election Preparation To Tolerance In Bogor
BOGOR - Acting Governor of West Java Bey▁Keputusani Machmudin highlighted the problem of election preparation, drought, and diversity tolerance during a visit to the Regional Secretariat (Setda) of the Bogor Regency Government.
Accompanied by West Java Police Chief Inspector General Akhmad Wiyagus, Siliwangi III/Siliwangi Military Commander Major General Erwin Djatniko, and Bogor Regent Iwan Setiawan, Bey listened to input from clerical figures, laborers, to the Bogor Regency Government.
"I listened to input about the situation in Bogor Regency, which I felt was quite good earlier," said Bey.
Regarding preparations for the 2024 General Election, he emphasized the Bogor Regency Government to actually record accurately the number of permanent voters (DPT).
Then, regarding the drought that hit 30 sub-districts in Bogor Regency, he mentioned that Kodam III/Siliwangi is ready to intervene to detect the potential for water through equipment with advanced technology.
Bey also listened to the presentation from the Bogor Regent Iwan Setiawan regarding the formation of a Religious Tolerance Village in Pabuaran Village, Gunung Sindur District, Bogor Regency.
Bey advised the people of Bogor Regency to remain tolerant by protecting each other's houses of worship.
"22 monasteries in Bogor Regency are well maintained. Similar to other religions, we maintain diversity together," he said.

Meanwhile, Bogor Regent Iwan Setiawan said he was proud because Bogor Regency was a priority area to be visited by the Acting Governor of West Java, who was only inaugurated in early September 2023.
"So that we can get direction and input for the better development direction of Bogor Regency, as well as a meeting event with the community directly," said Iwan.
