Jokowi Will Test the Fast Train on Wednesday, KCIC Finalizes Preparations
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia-China (KCIC) continues to finalize operational preparations for the Jakarta Bandung Fast Train (KCJB) ahead of trials with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

KCIC Main Director, Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi, said that KCIC is trying to ensure that all operational aspects of the Fast Train are ready before it is tested by the President of the Republic of Indonesia and tested by the community.
Furthermore, Dwiyana said that preparations were made by making improvements to various fast train facilities, from stations to accessibility and integration of transportation modes.
"Fast train trials continue to run according to schedule and plan to ensure all operational aspects run well and smoothly. "We are also making work improvements so that no problems arise during operations," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, September 12.
In terms of accessibility and integration, Dwiyana said that KCIC coordinates with various parties, including the government, SOE, private sector and other stakeholders.
Dwiyana said that intermodal integration and various accessibility were presented to provide convenience to the community.
"The convenience of prospective passengers is a priority, therefore, by coordinating and collaborating with many parties, we are trying to provide various conveniences for the public to access fast train services," said Dwiyana.
Deputy Minister of SOE Tests the Fast Train
To ensure the operational readiness of the fast train, Deputy Minister of SOE Kartika Wirjoatmodjo and Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Angela Tanoesoedibjo took part in the fast train trial today.
Both depart from Halim Station, Jakarta to Padalarang Station with a travel time of 30 minutes.
The two of them also tried the Feeder Train from Padalarang Station to Bandung Station, which is a form of integrated transportation mode. The journey from Padalarang Station to Bandung Station takes 17 minutes.
“Intermodal integration in public transportation modes is an important thing. "BUMN is ready to be present and support intermodal integration to support community convenience," said Kartika.
For the Jakarta area, said Kartika, later people will be connected to the Jabodebek LRT which is currently operating. Connectivity is realized by the presence of a skybridge that connects the LRT station with the Fast Train Station.

Meanwhile, to make it easier for Jakarta residents who want to go to Bandung City, a Feeder Train has been provided which is the result of collaboration with KAI.
“From Jakarta to Bandung City it takes less than an hour. "The fast train station will be connected to the feeder train which can connect people to Bandung and Cimahi stations," she said.
