DPR Agrees That The Accountability Of The 2022 State Budget Is A Law, Sri Mulyani: Thank You For Good Cooperation
JAKARTA The DPR Plenary Session today approved the responsibility for the implementation of the 2022 State Budget which was conveyed by the government through the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani.
For this, the Minister of Finance stated that the Draft Law (RUU) on the implementation of the APBN which was later ratified into law was a form of accountability to the DPR which was submitted in the form of a Central Government Financial Report (LKPP) which had gone through an audit by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).
"On behalf of the government, we would like to thank the leadership and all members of the DPR for their very good support and cooperation, so that the process of discussing the bill can run smoothly," he said at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta on Tuesday, September 12.
According to the Minister of Finance, this also indicates that the government has implemented the essence of state finances as a fiscal instrument properly in accordance with the provisions of the constitution.
"The 2022 State Budget is a strategic instrument that works extraordinarily hard in saving the nation, protecting the people, and restoring the Indonesian economy," he said.
The Minister of Finance explained that in the 2022 period was the third year of the COVID-19 pandemic which was stressful. He said, at that time there was also geopolitical competition that made the situation even more complicated.
The war in Ukraine has created supply chain disruptions that threaten the global economy. The world is facing a recession and turmoil in food and energy prices. This has led to the worst inflation in 40 years," he added.

However, the Minister of Finance is grateful that the State Budget has been able to protect the negative impact of this, which focuses on handling health, social protection, and economic recovery. It was revealed that economic growth above 5 percent is concrete evidence of fiscal hard work over the past year.
"This then makes the consolidation of fiscal or restructuring of the state budget run one year faster than the law writes. The APBN deficit is back below 3 percent, which is only 2.35 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP)," he said.
