The KCIC Halim Office Caught Fire, 5 Fire Cars Were Deployed

JAKARTA - China's Indonesia Fast Train (KCIC) in the Halim area, Halim Perdana Kusuma Village, Makasar District, East Jakarta, was reported to have caught fire, Monday morning, September 11.

The fire incident was reported to the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Sudin Gulkarmat) at around 01.26 WIB.

A total of 5 fire engines were deployed to extinguish the burning object at the high-speed train office.

PT KCIC's GM Corporate Secretary, Eva Chairunisa, said the cause of the incident was in the investigation process.

"Regarding this incident, KCIC has coordinated with the contractor at the location," Eva wrote in a circulating release, Monday, September 11.

In the release, it was stated that the condition of the station's inside was entirely in good condition.

"The fire splashes that were previously seen were on the roof of the coating or protection. Meanwhile, the other parts are fire-resistant with limited areas," VOI quoted from the official statement of PT KCIC circulating.
