Zero Case, Rejang Lebong BPBD Continues To Map 7 Districts With Potential Forest And Land Fires
BENGKULU - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Rejang Lebong Regency has mapped the area with the potential for forest and land fires (karhutla) even though so far there are still zero cases.
Head of BPBD Rejang Lebong Shalahudin said its members and supporting equipment were on alert, such as one tank car, water hose, and other aid equipment.
"Alhamdulillah, to this day in Rejang Lebong there have been no reports of forest and land fires. Indeed, a few days ago there was a fire on vacant land but the area was only small and the residents were successfully extinguished along with the Rejang Lebong Firefighters," he said, Thursday, September 7, which was confiscated by Antara.
He explained that the prepared forest and land fires response personnel came from the Rejang Lebong BPBD Pusdalops as well as volunteers.
"We also always coordinate with the Rejang Lebong Fire Department (Damkar) as well as local TNI and Polri officers," he said.

Meanwhile, a number of areas that have the potential for forest and land fires in Rejang Lebong cover 7 sub-districts, namely Padang City, Padang Ulak Tanding, Binduriang, Sindang Beliti Ilir, and Sindang Beliti Ulu sub-districts.
In addition, in the Bermani Ulu and Bermani Ulu Raya sub-districts, which are adjacent to Kerinci Seblat National Park (TNKS).
Meanwhile, Head of the Fire Department (Damkar) Rejang Lebong Fery Najamudin stated that his party had alerted 130 personnel and 13 vehicles to anticipate the possibility of forest and land fires in 15 sub-districts in the area.
"We have prepared 13 vehicles consisting of nine fire engines and four water supply tank cars. Then 130 officers were alerted," he said.
He explained that the vehicles and personnel who were alerted were spread across five posts, namely the main post at the Rejang Lebong Fire Headquarters on Jalan S Sukowati Curup, with nine vehicles.
Meanwhile, the other four posts are in Sindang Kelingi, Padang Ulak Tanding, Padang City, and Bermani Ulu Raya sub-districts, each sub-district post is placed in one fire engine unit.
