10 Percent Of Bogor Regency Government Official Vehicles Do Not Pass Emission Test, Low Oktan Consumption Of Subsidized Fuel Causes
As many as 10 percent of official vehicles belonging to the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab) did not pass the emission test during simultaneous inspections at Pakansari Stadium, Cibinong, Bogor.
Acting Head of the Bogor Regency Environment Agency (DLH), Bambam Setia Aji, explained that of the 340 vehicles tested for emissions, 38 of them were declared unsuccessful.
"A total of 340 vehicles (in the emission test), passed 302 vehicles and did not pass 38 vehicles," he said in Bogor, Thursday, September 7, which was confiscated by Antara.
Bambam said the vehicles most tested for emissions were cars that consumed gasoline fuel, as many as 292 vehicles with the results of 260 vehicles passing and 32 vehicles failing.
Meanwhile, 48 diesel-engined cars were tested for emissions, with 42 vehicles passing and 6 vehicles not passing.
"We are working with the Transportation Agency (Dinas Perhubungan) and the Police in organizing this emission test," said Bambam.
Meanwhile, the Regent of Bogor, Iwan Setiawan, explained the results of the search for car drivers who did not pass the emission test, the majority of the causes were due to the use of subsidized fuel which had low octane value.
In fact, said Iwan, all government-owned official vehicles are not allowed to consume subsidized fuel.

He also appealed to the Bogor Regency Government State Civil Apparatus (ASN) to always fill official vehicles with Pertamax type fuel which has a octane value of 92.
"All state-owned vehicles must be Pertamax, now the impact is visible after the emission test for many good vehicles but did not pass, when checked and asked the driver, it turned out that (the cause) was the use of fuel," he said.
He did not deny that weak supervision was the cause of several official vehicles that consumed subsidized fuel.
Iwan ensured that in the future all official vehicles belonging to the Bogor Regency Government would be checked regularly through the Transportation Service.
"In 1990 alone, if the burning was good, it would pass (emission test), the important thing is maintenance," he concluded.
