Tapera Funds Managed By 7 Professional Investment Managers To Make It Wiser
JAKARTA - In order to make fund management wiser (prudent), people's housing savings funds (Tapera) are managed by a professional Investment Manager (MI).
Through a Collective Investment Contract (KIK), BP Tapera collaborates with 7 Investment Managers (MI), namely PT BNI Asset Management, PT Bahana TCW Investment Management, PT Batavia Prosperindo Asset Management, and PT BRI Investment Management.
Next, PT Mandiri Investment Management, PT Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia, and PT Schroder Investment Management Indonesia.
"We manage funds that are trusted by the government prudently and cooperate with professionals who are routinely monitored and evaluated in accordance with OJK regulations and BP Tapera Agency Regulations," said BP Tapera Commissioner Adi Setianto in an official statement received by VOI, Tuesday, September 5.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner for Development of Tapera Funds Gatut Subadio said the supervision carried out by MI was related to various fields.
"The supervision carried out by MI includes the performance of KIK for the Wages of Tapera Funds, conformity with cooperation agreements, and compliance with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) regulations and Body Regulations," he said.
It is said, as an institution that adheres to the principle of non-profit, tapera management is not only for profit, but prioritizes the results of developing tapera funds to provide the maximum benefit for participants.
Since the Bapertarum-PNS to BP Tapera was merged in December 2020, data migration that has been transferred from the Bapertarum-PNS has reached 5.04 million participants with funds worth IDR 11.8 trillion.
The migration results data is managed in the BP Tapera database for both Active Civil Servants and Retired Civil Servants. Active civil servant data transferred is 4.016 million people and the savings is managed through the Tapera/KPDT Fund Management Contract (both conventional and sharia).
Meanwhile, data on civil servants retired a total of 1.02 million people. From the transferred funds of Rp. 11.8 trillion, savings were returned to 444,536 for retired civil servants / heirs worth Rp. 1.79 trillion.
BP Tapera has also been appointed as the Government Investment Operator (OIP) by the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) since December 22, 2021.
Thus, the management of the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP), which was originally managed by the BLU of the Housing Financing Fund Management Center (PPDPP), officially switched to BP Tapera.
Based on the investment agreement between the Ministry of Finance and BP Tapera, the value of FLPP funds transferred to BP Tapera is IDR 60.67 trillion.
The funds transferred consisted of funds that had not been rolled out amounting to Rp1.55 trillion and funds that were being rolled out amounting to Rp59.12 trillion.
