Mardani Maming Installed Rp10 Billion In Replacement Money From A Total Of Rp110.6 Billion
JAKARTA - Former Regent of Tanah Bumbu Mardani H. Maming deposited a replacement money of Rp. 10 billion out of a total of Rp. 110.6 billion to be paid. This deposit has been handed over to the state treasury.
"The new replacement money is paid IDR 10 billion as the first installment," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Monday, September 4.
In addition, Mardani also paid off the fine money to the state. "Re-collection will soon be carried out by the executing prosecutor team in the context of asset recovery from the results of the corruption enjoyed by the convict in question," he said.
As previously reported, Mardani has been executed at the Sukamiskin Penitentiary (Lapas), Bandung, West Java. He will serve a 12-year sentence in the mining business license bribery case (IUP).
The Supreme Court rejected the cassation filed by Mardani Maming. He was still sentenced to 12 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 500 million, subsidiary to four months in prison.

The verdict is heavier than the demands of the KPK Public Prosecutor (JPU) at the first level. He was previously sentenced to 10 years and 6 months in prison with a fine of Rp700 million, subsidiary to 8 months and to pay compensation of Rp118 billion, subsidiary to 5 years in prison.
Mardani is believed to have received a gift or gratification from a mining entrepreneur, the former Director of PT Prolindo Cipta Nusantara (PCN) of the late Henry Soetio with a total of no less than Rp118 billion while in office.
This acceptance is related to the issuance of the Tanah Bumbu Regent Decree Number 296 of 2011 concerning approval for the transfer of mining business permits (IUP) OP from PT BKPL to PT PCN.
