The Body Of A Michele Social Activist For KKB Victims Will Be Evacuated To Jayapura
Jayawijaya Police Chief AKBP Heri Purnomo said Michele Kurisi Doga's body, which is currently at Wamena Hospital, was scheduled for Friday (1/9) to be evacuated to Jayapura.
"It is true that there are plans for the bodies of the victims found in Koloyak Village, Kolowa District, Lanny Jaya Regency, Papua Mountains, to be evacuated to Jayapura," said AKBP Heri Purnomo as reported by ANTARA Thursday, August 31.
The location of the victim's body was in Lanny Jaya Regency and when it was found his condition was buried and covered with leaves.
Before being evacuated, members of the Jayawijaya Police Criminal Investigation Unit first processed the crime scene (TKP).
The victim's body arrived at Wamena Hospital at around 15.30 WIT.
"The evacuation was safe," said AKBP Heri Purnomo, who was contacted from Jayapura.
The commander of Kodim 1702/Jayawijaya Lt. Col. Cpn Athetius Murip, said that the victim Michella Kurisi died Monday (28/8), the process of evacuating the bodies was experiencing difficulties due to its difficult and steep terrain, then the bodies were taken to Wamena Hospital, Jayawijaya Regency.

"The body was evacuated escorted by the Jayawijaya Resort Police, the tribal chiefs and the victim's family to the Wamena Hospital in Jayawijaya Regency for an autopsy," said Lt. Col. Cpn Murib.
Dandim explained that Michelle Kurisi is a social activist who is widely known by the public and figures because of her concern for women and children in remote parts of Papua.
In addition, Michelle Kurisi is the grandson of the head of the Silo Tribe, said Dandim Athenius.
