Sido Muncul Participates In The Development Of Tourism Destinations In Semarang

JAKARTA - Semarang City in recent years has experienced an increase in the development of tourist destinations. This has also become one of the concerns of PT Industri Jamu and Pharmacy Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO) to continue to participate in developing tourist destinations in the area nicknamed Atlas City.

Director of Sido Muncul, Irwan Hidayat, said that his party invites all elements of society to jointly develop tourism potential in Semarang City so that it becomes a tourist destination that can attract domestic and foreign tourists.

Irwan also often invites dozens of figures from various professions, such as academics, business people, cultural actors, and tourism activists to participate in bringing tourism changes to the city of Semarang more advanced.

Tourism is one of the strategic sectors developed, in order to improve development in the city of Semarang. A number of tourist attractions still need revitalization in order to be able to attract tourists and also become the target of investors. Even investors will be more interested in investing in Semarang City," said Irwan, quoted Wednesday, August 30.

Furthermore, Irwan said, Semarang City is rich in tourism potential that can be further developed. Not only religious tourism, but tourism based on mountainous nature and coastal areas.

The various tourism potentials of Semarang City, said Irwan, must be presented in a genuine, native manner, as it is as a local wisdom. Irwan also invited tourism object managers, arts activists and the community to jointly develop the tourism sector in Semarang City and its surroundings.

"We will continue to encourage artists to be more innovative by creating new creations and being able to synergize with tourism object managers to present performances and art performances," said Irwan.

Irwan hopes that with traditional arts performances in tourist attractions, the local economy can increase, even residents are happy, artists are happy, traders are also happy and local tourist visits are increasing.

"The city of Semarang is very rich and very potential to be like Bali. Here it is complete, there are natural tourism, mountains and seas, there are religious tourism of all religions, has a variety of distinctive culinary delights, there are Old Cities with historic old buildings, there are various Javanese, Malay, Arabic, Chinese cultures, there are wayang skin to potehi puppets, which have the potential to attract many tourists," he said.

According to him, if the tourism potential can be developed optimally, it will be a lot of choice for foreign tourists. The potential for tourism in the Semarang City area is expected to be able to help raise the residents' economy.

"Don't just go to the city center, which is a concern for the development of the tourism sector. Western areas such as Mijen, Mount Pati must also be a concern, as well as to break up crowds not only in the city center," he said.
