The former IT honorary worker at PT Transjakarta was reported for embezzling goods belonging to the manufacturing company where he worked in the form of 8 laptop units with various types, 2 DSLR cameras, 3 monitors, 1 printer, 3 hard PC disks, and 1 VGA card.
Tambora Police Chief Kompol Putra Pratama said the perpetrators took over the equipment under the pretext of making applications, repairs, documentation, and preparing for the company's birthday.
However, this valuable equipment is actually pawned or sold by the perpetrators without the company's permission.

"We found that a number of laptops had been pawned in various places such as Tambora, Cibinong, West Java, and Pancoran Mas, Depok. The goods were pawned for more than Rp. 2.5 million to Rp. 5 million. The money was pawned for online gambling capital," said Kompol Putra when contacted by VOI, Wednesday, August 30.
According to the perpetrator's statement, he is addicted to playing online gambling in the type of casino. The proceeds from pawning goods are also to cover the perpetrator's debt while playing online gambling.
"As a result of the perpetrator's actions, the company where the perpetrator worked had suffered a loss of close to Rp. 100 million. Currently, the Tambora Police have managed to confiscate 7 laptop units and 1 unit of DSLR camera. In addition, the goods that have been sold by the perpetrators are still in the tracing stage to find the collector," he said.
Wahyu was rewarded with Article 378 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 374 of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 4 years in prison.
"This perpetrator alone committed a criminal act of fraud and embezzlement or a single perpetrator," he said.
