Starting August 2023, Industry In DKI To Banten Must Report Disposal Of Gas Emission Control
The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) has issued Circular (SE) of the Minister of Industry Number 2 of 2023 concerning Control of Industrial Sector Exhaust Gas Emissions in the Provinces of DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Banten.
This instruction was issued to mitigate the impact of air pollution in the Jabodetabek area.
Director of Industrial Resilience and Climate Business of the Ministry of Industry Binoni Tio A. Napitupulu said that the contents of this SE instruct industrial companies and industrial estate companies in the provinces of DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Banten, which are in the process of generating energy, production, and waste. emitting exhaust and/or disturbances into the air ambient must do three things.
First, carry out exhaust emission control. Second, guaranteeing the fulfillment of exhaust and air gas emissions parameters in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.
Finally or third, reporting periodic exhaust emission control every once a week, on Thursday through the Ministry of Industry's National Industrial Information System portal (SIINAs) according to reporting procedures as stated in the attachment which is an inseparable part of this SE.
Later, verification of exhaust emission control reports will be carried out by an inspection team determined through the Decree of the Minister of Industry Number 3599 of 2023 concerning the Industrial Sector Exhaust Gas Emission Control Inspection Team in the Provinces of DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Banten.
Industry companies and industrial estate companies that do not carry out their obligations are subject to sanctions in accordance with statutory regulations.
"This Circular will take effect on August 25, 2023 until December 31, 2023," Binoni said, monitored from the Ministry of Industry's YouTube, Monday, August 28.
Binoni said, from the results of reports submitted by industrial companies and industrial estate companies, the Ministry of Industry's inspection team will conduct profiling for analysis and continue with surveillance measures.
Then, there will be an examination report (BAP) and recommendations that must be made. This can be in the form of coaching and/or direction of improvement results.
"If you violate there is a recommendation in the form of imposing sanctions," said Binoni.
