SRK1000RR Superbike QJMotor Ready To Enter Production
JAKARTA - Not only has it succeeded in disturbing the old players in the four-wheeled vehicle industry, motorcycle manufacturers from China are also growing very rapidly and even closer to creating world-class super bikes.
One of the QJMotor brothers of Benelli, who is both owned by Qianjiang Group, collaborated with MV Agusta, a Chinese manufacturer, who is preparing to produce the SRK1000RR superbike.
Although the specifications and capabilities of the motor have not been officially disclosed, quoted from MCN, August 22, the existence of this motor has been confirmed in a QJMotor dealers meeting, with a planned launch towards the end of 2023 and production scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2024.
The origin of this bike can be traced back until September 2020 when Qianjiang released plans to make a four-cylinder superbike from Benelli. It is clear that the engine originated from MV Agusta, which at the same time signed a distribution agreement for China with Qianjiang.
This relationship became clearer in 2021 when MV showed a prototype 554 cc parallel twin adventure bike named Lucky Explorer 5.5. With the MV body, Lucky Explorer carried engines and frames of Qianjiang, which were shared with Benelli TRK502 and QJMotor SRT550.
