PDIP Promotes Opportunities For Ganjar-Anies In The 2024 Presidential Election, Could It Happen?

YOGYAKARTA - PDIP DPP chairman Said Abdullah invited Anies Baswedan to join Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election. According to him, both of them are smart leaders from the same alma mater. In addition, Anies is not a competitor to be underestimated. Regarding the discourse on the duet of Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan which was echoed by Said Abdullah, Chairman of the United Development Party DPP Achmad Baidowi said that this could happen, considering that politics is very dynamic.

"Globally speaking, everything is possible in politics," said the politician who is familiarly called Awiek at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, recently.

It's just that, until now within the internal coalition supporting Ganjar Pranowo, there has been no discussion discussing Aies Baswedan's name as a vice presidential candidate.

Baidowi said the coalition was still struggling to discuss the names of the vice presidential candidates who had been mentioned by the Chairperson of the PDIP DPP Puan Maharani.

"Until today, the party leadership is trying to formulate a candidate for vice president who is suitable and can win the contest," said Awiek.

He said that the names of the vice presidential candidates who will accompany Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election are still being simulated. Therefore, the coalition does not want to change direction by including the name Anies Baswedan.

"We focus on simulating names that have started to converge so that we don't repeat it like turning clockwise. As an opinion the name is a response to developments, mediocre," said Awiek.

Self-Knowing Nasdem

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of the NasDem Party Ahmad Ali said that his party knew themselves to offer cooperation with PDIP.

After all, since the beginning Anies has been supported by the Change and Unity Coalition (KPP) as a presidential candidate (candidate).

"Anies Baswedan was nominated by the Coalition for Change as a presidential candidate. God willing, he has met the requirements for candidacy as a presidential candidate," said Ahmad Ali, to journalists, Tuesday, August 22.

Ali said that until now the Coalition for Change for Unity (KPP), which is filled with NasDem, Democrats and PKS, is confident that Anies can run as a presidential candidate.

"Although the survey results, like this, are stupid, but in several political events in Indonesia, almost on average, the survey institute made a lot of mistakes," said Ali.

Ali emphasized that the presidential election is not a place to beat people. However, generating ideas among leaders.

Ali also did not want to speculate if Ganjar became Anies' vice presidential candidate. In his opinion, this is impossible, because PDIP is a winning party that definitely wants to nominate president.

Apart from that, said Ali, his party also knew themselves if they offered the cawapres position to PDIP. Because according to him, political cooperation must also be based on appropriateness.

"We did not open the offer because we know ourselves, we know that in offering cooperation it must always be based on decency, based on the interests of the community, then proportional," said Ali.
