This statement was made by Shane Lukas when he read out the memorandum of defense or plea at the trial of severe persecution at the South Jakarta District Court, Tuesday, August 22.
"As soon as the incident happened, I don't know what made me not immediately reflex when Mario swung his leg and kicked David," Shane said.

In his defense, Shane admitted that he was confused by himself who in the end responded to Mario's invitation. In fact, from the beginning Rafael Alun Trisambodo's son expressed his desire to abuse.
"I don't know what caused me to seem hypnotized and newly conscious to intervene and block, stop Mario from taking further acts of persecution," Shane said.
Not to forget, Shane also apologized to David's family for his involvement in this case.
"Once again I am sorry and apologize for the tragedy that happened", Shane said.
Shane Lukas was originally sentenced to 5 years in prison in a case of severe abuse against David Ozora. He is also burdened with restitution payments. However, if it is not able to be replaced with 6 months in prison.
