KPK Is Looking For Allegations Of Corruption In The Procurement Of Trucks At Basarnas Through The Auction Committee
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigated the auction organizing committee at the National SAR Agency (Basarnas) in 2014. Two people were examined as witnesses, one of which was the Planning for Madya Basarnas Expert Gusti Agung Wiryanika.
Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri said Agung was questioned on Tuesday, August 21 yesterday. This examination relates to allegations of corruption in the procurement of trucks and rescue carrier vehicles.
"Witnesses are present and material deepening is still being carried out, among others, related to the participation of witnesses in the plethora of the auction for the procurement of trucks to transport personnel and rescue carrier vehicles in 2014 at Basarnas," Ali told reporters in a written statement, Tuesday, August 22.
Apart from Agung, investigators are also exploring the same thing from the Intermediate Expert Analyst of the Basarnas Operations Directorate who is also part of the work group (pokja) Budi Prayitno. Ali did not specify the statements of the two witnesses, but their statements were believed to make light of the actions of the suspects.

Previously reported, the KPK investigated allegations of corruption in Basarnas related to the procurement of goods. This case is said to have cost the state tens of billions of rupiah.
Currently, the anti-corruption commission has not announced the suspects in this case because the search for evidence is still ongoing. However, they have prevented three people from leaving the country.
The three people who were prevented were former Sestama Basarnas Max Rudand Boseke; PPK Basarnas Anjar Sulistiyono; and Director of CV Delima Mandiri, William Widarta. This prevention was carried out by the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights until December 2023 and could be extended for six months according to the needs of investigators.
