Ural Launches Gear Up Expedition: Best Adventure Motor
Jakarta - Motorcycle manufacturer Ural recently presented the motorbike they claim is the best adventure motorbike, namely Gear Up Expedition. Ural emphasized that this Expedition version has been equipped with everything necessary by motorists and passengers to explore the world.
In addition to the standard Gear Up specifications, Expedition is equipped with more baggage space, stronger motor and sidecar protection, harmonious windshield, enhanced suspension, and various additional features.
The motorbike has been introduced in the UK at a fairly expensive price of up to 33,750 pounds, including import taxes, VAT, two-year warranty, one-year taxes, and fully charged fuel tanks.
Perhaps Ural's name sounds foreign to some automotive lovers in Indonesia, but it has a long history in Europe, especially in Russia. Ural is known for his toughness, especially when used by the Russian military during World War II. One of its characteristics is the sidecar used to transport passengers beside the motorbike.
Ural was first founded in Irbit, Russia, in 1941, with the task of producing motorcycles with sidecars to support military needs during World War II. After the war ended, this sidecar motorcycle remained popular among motorists who respected its ability to drive on various terrains.
Mass production of Ural motorcycles began after World War II, with exports first starting in 1953. In the 1970s, these motorcycles began to be imported to the UK under the Cossack brand.
Since July 2022, quoted from MCN, August 21, Ural began to be assembled at Petropavlovsk, Kazakhstan. Ural vehicles are sold through international dealers' networks in more than 40 countries on five continents.
Even though the design carries a classic feel, Gear Up remains the mainstay product of Ural. Since 2014, the engine has been equipped with fuel injection and disc brakes on all wheels, thus supporting a boxer engine with a capacity of 749 cc with 41 dk.
In addition, the standard model now has a variety of quality touches such as LED fog lights, Sachs suspensions, Brembo calibre brakes, and additional power sockets. The new Gear Up Expedition even took a step further by including almost every accessory from Ural's catalog as part of its standard specifications.
