Chronology Of IPB Students Burned To Death In Lab, Best Alumni Of The S1 Program

The case of the death of an IPB student at the Postgraduna Program, Laila Atika Sari, revealed a new fact. The student of Nutritional and Pakan Sciences turned out to be one of the best alumni.

Laila Atika Sari was listed as the Best Graduate of Scholars at the Phase III Graduation, 2020.

He completed his bachelor's degree at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry IPB for 48 months or 4 years.

The title of his thesis "Evaluation of the Quality of Green Fiber Used in Several Dairy Cattle Farms" led him to graduate with the last IPK of 3.87.

Laila then continued her master's studies on the same campus. Malang cannot be rejected, the master's degree has not been achieved until she breathes her last.

As is known, Laila died after receiving intensive care at the hospital due to being burned while analyzing the fat of feed materials using the soxlet method in the laboratory, Friday, August 18.

The fire occurred at around 16.00 WIB. Other students who were in the vicinity of other laboratories had helped extinguish the fire and help the victims.

Laila was then taken by IPB ambulance to Medika Dramaga Hospital for help. From the doctor who handled it, it was said that the victim needed to be referred to a hospital that had better treatment facilities.

The IPB team and Laila's family agreed to take her to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) for more intensive treatment.

Even though he had received intensive care from the RSCM, the victim was declared dead on Saturday 19 August at 10.00 WIB. The victim was then buried on Saturday afternoon in Serang, Banten.
